Recently we were approached by the design company Ideographic to create a promotional video for one of their clients, Raytec CCTV who are based in the North East of England.

We have worked with Raytec in the past on photographic work, but when they heard about our involvement in video production, they were very interested to meet with us and involve us in their new project.

We worked alongside the marketing department at Raytec to develop a storyboard, and plan out how and where we would carry out the shoot. The shoot was to be split into three sections, to show the different ways in which their intelligent lighting can be operated. Once the plan was in place and the storyboard was agreed on, we got to work on the preparations for the shoot. This involved the client setting up their LED lighting all around the building and wiring it all up to work at the touch of a button. They set up lighting across the front of the building, along the back fence and at the goods-in entrance. All of the areas we would set up to shoot the following day.

Dan Aziz and his crew spent two full evenings filming the scenes on location, starting at around 4pm and shooting until midnight or 1am in order to capture all of the footage in the nightlight. There were around 10 people on site including our crew, the client and the actors. Needless to say that the pizzas went down well during the shoot!

A special thanks to the design company Ideographic, who produced the fantastic animations which we then stripped into the monitors on the video clips, and embedded them in flawlessly.
